ABSTRACT
Guided by historical-dialectical materialism, we investigate “hostility to theory” in leisure studies (le) in the 21st century, in a theoretical study that resorts to bibliographical analysis. to do so, we analyze the production of some of the most influential brazilian authors in the period and the reinvigorated debate on the origin of leisure.
