ABSTRACT
This study analyzed the correlation between motivation and acute affective responses of 18 university students to home-based physical exercise at self-selected intensity. After answering the BREQ-3, they participated in a remote physical exercise session indicating their affective responses using the Feeling Scale. Correlations were found between Integrated Regulation (r= 0.655** p<0.001), Intrinsic Motivation (r= 0.638** p<0.004), and Affective Response. Thus, autonomous and self-determined motivations among university students are correlated with positive affective responses to home-based physical exercise. These findings suggest that intrinsic and self-determined motivation can enhance pleasant experiences and promote the continuation of physical exercise.
