We report here the use of the Pronto .035" 10 F aspiration catheter and intra-arterial trombolysis (reduced dose) in the successful treatment of an elderly patient with a massive acute pulmonary thromboembolism and hemodynamic collapse submitted to early percutaneous intervention.
