ABSTRACT

With a theoretical focus, this article presents notions of neuroscience, such as neuroplasticity and higher nervous functions (attention, memory, motivation, emotions, and executive functions), establishing relationships between them and learning. Thus, based on literature review and synthesis of information, the main objective here is to articulate the contributions of neuroscience to pedagogical practices. In doing so, we intend to broaden reflections regarding promoting even more significant learning for students.

A membrana celular é importante, pois controla a parte interna do ambiente de uma célula, gerenciando as substâncias que entram e saem. A membrana celular tem várias funções: pode ajudá-lo a combater infecções… etc.”.

[TFN2] **Tradução nossa: “Bom dia, turma. Hoje, vocês aprenderão algo muito importante para mantê-los vivos; algo que vai ajudar o organismo de vocês a combater infecções, controlar a homeostase do corpo e prevenir uma gripe horrível. É uma estrutura simples, temos bilhões delas em nosso corpo. Pense por um minuto: o que é essa ‘estrutura mágica’ que temos em nossos corpos, que é tão vital para nos mantermos vivos?... É a membrana celular, uma estrutura importante, porque controla o ambiente interno de uma célula, regulando as substâncias que entram e saem”.

[mostra um grande balão rosa, representando uma célula gigante]… [faz uma pausa e continua a andar com a grande bola rosa]... Vocês podem sentir isso... [caminha entre os alunos enquanto eles tocam a bola]... Isto é uma célula, e esta é a membrana celular [apontando para a superfície elástica rosa da bola]. Agora, prestem atenção… [com uma agulha grande, o professor estoura a bola. Ouve-se um grande estrondo e chovem chocolates da bola]... O que vocês viram [os alunos dirão, ‘barras de chocolate’], e como isso foi possível? Por causa da ‘membrana celular’. A membrana celular é importante, pois controla o ambiente interno de uma célula, coordenando as substâncias que entram e saem. Neste caso, esta membrana celular manteve os chocolates dentro…”.

Cenário 3	Good morning, class (the instructor starts to walk around the class). Today, you will learn about this... [the instructor then shows a big pink balloon, representing a giant cell]… [the instructor pauses and continues to walk around with this big pink ball]... You can feel it... [and the instructor walks among the students while they touch the ball]... This is a cell, and this is the cell membrane [pointing to the pink elastic surface of the ball]. Now pay attention… [the instructor draws a large needle and blows off the ball.
