Newton's theory of light in Young's texts

Newton's conception of light has been a controversy matter. Some authors consider his theory as a purely corpuscular one; others, infiuenced by Young's texts, argue that it would be a combination of corpuscular and undulation elements. The analysis of these authors texts realized in this work allow us to conclude that the version according to which Newton argues a partially undulation theory of light would be a posteriori construction, due in large manner to Young, and not the opposite, i.e., the interpretation that Newton sustains a purely corpuscular theory would be in better conformity with their original texts.
