(Aerodynamics of balls)

The teaching of Physics at different levels of education is often considered tedious and complex when it is disconnected from reality and with an excess of mathematical formalism. The partnership between universities and science museums may lead to the development of practical strategies that will assist the teaching of physics in different segments. The present article resents the experiments carried out the “Aerodynamics of the Balls” workshop presented to the public in the event “Sport Science” held at the Museum of Science “Espaço Ciência Viva”, at Rio de Janeiro, during the year of the World Soccer Cup. The approach of this study sought to encompass the theoretical aspects of the experiments, details of the construction of the models, as well as to briefly summarize the importance of scientific publications in situations of non-formal education.
