Abstract
Anecdotes about Feynman are abundant and everyone who had contact with him, in any form whatsoever, has something to tell. This text does not include any physics nor has the purpose of discussing anything technical at all. It simply gathers some recollections from lectures on theoretical physics given by Richard P. Feynman and the environment at the California Institute of Technology in the early eighties. More than techniques, the message was about the pleasure of doing science, of courage in face of doubt, and intellectual honesty. Quotes are translations from the original in my memory.
