Using DC motors in Physics experiments

In this work we have used DC motors, working as electric generators, in didatic Physics experiments. Two different applications of these devices are discussed: a homemade anemometer and a frequency counter, which were built with low-cost electric motors. The data acquisition was performed using a personal computer and a sound card, which work as an oscilloscope, a spectrum analyzer and an analogical/digital converter.
