Measurements of total magnetic moment of magnetotactic microorganisms was made using the analysis of movement of cells in the medium (water). These measurements offer important informations to understand adaptability of living beings. The present work offers a technique that can be used in the teaching of physics, biology or ecology and it is an example of multidisciplinary research.
