In this work we present a review of What is life? by Erwin Schrödinger, written almost 80 years ago. Reading this book allows us a unique experience to appreciate as one of the greatest physicists of the 20th century raised his questions and how he searched for solutions to them. Interdisciplinarity is a characteristic of this book. The reader will be introduced to contents of physics, chemistry, biology, philosophy, religion, among others. The themes covered in the book were, and still being, of major significance for the development of science. This is one more reason to consider it reading extremely current. With this review, we hope to help reading of this timeless book.
