Standard model: an analysis of PNLD textbooks to identify concepts related to Elementary Particle Physics

Considering that in Brazilian public high school the teaching physics adopt the textbook of the Nacional Program of the Textbook (NPT) and that can be the single teaching material is available to teacher and student we inquire: the textbook can assume the role when teaching and learning of the Elementary Particles Physics? Therefore, to solved that question examined general comments contained in the Textbooks Guide of the NPT the years 2018 and 2021 using content analysis technique. Furthermore, we identify which are concepts covered of the Elementary Particles Physics (or Standard Model), particularly since depending on the teacher’s experience/interest and the textbook this topic can be neglected. The results of content analysis indicated features that pervade a book in the condition didatic material, such as: teaching methodology and pedagogical aspects. The contents relating to Elementary Particles Physics were identify in the textbooks as of a list of dichotomous quetions.
