How the vector potential is to be interpreted in order to reveal analogies between magnetic and electric quantities

Starting from the Liénard-Wiechert potentials, it is shown that the vector potential can always be expressed as a product of the scalar potential and the velocity of the charge creating it, looking like a kind of potential wind. From that, it is shown how a certain existing similarity between magnetic and electric quantities may be understood.
