Work in health and medical work: specificities and convergences

This essay presents a counter-argument between work in health and medical work having as starting point the existent relationships between knowledge and practice. It presupposes that the health problematic regarding the relationships between nature and culture. It recognizes that the introduction of human sciences in the health field relativized the biological discourse and the benchmark in this field is interdisciplinary. It identifies the biomedical thought style as the main component for the specificities on how the medics act. It analyzes and criticizes the technological impact on the medical practice. It suggest that the change proposals in medical education when incorporating the humanizing premises brought by the Collective Health field worked as convergent points with the health work and could contribute to the medical work transformation.
