Discovering the territory and other premises of territorial development

Abstract

In this article, we set out to socialize a number of reflections through three cooperation projects that were undertaken with agroecological peasants and the humble, modest residents living on the urban periphery of the city of Francisco Beltrão (Paraná). We evidenced the territorial approach adopted in the research and the participatory actions, the discovery of territory as a fundamental component of local, cultural and ecological development, as well as the centrality of the creation and/or qualification of class and place consciousness in activating territorialities aimed at cooperation, solidarity, struggle and political resistance to the hegemonic forces of capital and the bourgeois state.
