Editorial
A new issue of the Revista Brasileira de farmacognosia (Brazilian Journal of Pharmacognosy) is being launched. The valuable contribution of the authors and referees has been an important factor for reaching the quality that our periodic has reached so far. We are reaching the record mark of 17 articles published in a single issue, being four of them in English. Continuing like this, we will reach the demands of the SCIELO so that we can be indexed in their bibliographic system, what is very important for our journal, due to the great national and international repercussion which certainly will come with this indexation. We have recently achieved indexation in the NAPRALERT (Natural Products Alert) of the University of Illinois in Chicago and efforts are on the way to get indexed at other important data banks.
We would like now to reinforce our request of citing at least one article published in the Revista Brasileira de Farmacognosia when publishing your works on other journals. Acting like this we will be contributing to a better divulgation of RBF and also for us to have an Impact Factor. Further details on how to do this can be found in last issue's Editorial.
It is very important that the submission of articles continue to come. The continuity of the journal's success depends on that. Please remember to strictly follow our author's guidelines, published in the previous issue, its observation is indispensable for the acceptance of the manuscripts submitted for publication. Our referees, to whom we wish to express our most sincere thanks, are instructed to reject any manuscript which does not fit in the guidelines.
We now wish to present our thanks to everybody who has contributed for the growth of the Revista Brasileira de Farmacognosia and this way for the growth of Pharmacognosy in Brazil. We also take this opportunity to ask for critics and suggestions whish may led to the improvement of the quality of our periodic.
