ABSTRACT
This article aims to analyze some of the production that has been written about the beginning of the historiographical production of the undergraduate History course at the University of São Paulo (USP). That will refer to documents and bibliographical works that set the basis for what has come to be understood as the Escola Uspiana de História, as well as to others which question the ways and periodization of the incorporation of the Annales School’s contributions in Brazil. The article also presents the proposal for a book on the history of Brazil found in documents belonging to Fernand Braudel, located at the Fondation Maison des Sciences de L’Homme.
