Open-access Workers and Companies Complicit in the Dictatorship: The Case of Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional

This article aims to take stock of the advances and limits experienced in the field of corporate complicity with the military dictatorship in Brazil. The framework of the research is the investigations of the National Truth Commission (2013-2014) and other initiatives, based on the presentation of a particular case, the participation of Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) in the context of the 1964 Coup and its impacts on the working class and urban space. As this is a developing field, and respecting the construction process of themes and political-institutional paths outlined so far, a theoretical-methodological approach is proposed between the field that we will call here Companies and Dictatorship, and the field of Social History of Work.
