AIBE Meeting in Brazilian Journal of Hematology

This supplement, the fourth issue this year of the Brazilian Journal of Hematology and Hemotherapy (RBHH), is focused on the Annual Meeting of the Italo-Brazilian Hematology Association (AIBE) that took place in Venice, Italy. In the new editorial policy of the journal with two-monthly editions, six normal issues are planned for this year with this being the second special supplement of four, thereby completing a total of ten issues of the RBHH in 2008. Several works in this edition, in the form of short up-dating articles of themes from the AIBE Meeting about multiple myeloma, leukemia, bone marrow transplantation, proposals of comparative and prospective observational studies in hematology written by Brazilians, Italians and specialists of other Latin American countries should be highlighted by their inclusion. Another aspect to be considered, even more important due to the origin of the invitees, and aiming at standardizing the supplement, was the decision that the articles should be written in English in order to gradually increase the international reach of the journal.

In conclusion, once again this issue has fulfilled the objective of educating, up dating and improving with the objective of internationalization keeping the quality of the RBHH.
