Abstract
This article aims to make a diagnosis of the physical structures and to observe the spatial distribution of the natural tourist attractions of the Circuito Terras Altas da Mantiqueira, south of Minas Gerais - Brazil and thereby present the possibility of inserting geographic tools (geoprocessing and geosystems) in the tourist planning of the locality. To arrive at the result, maps were created using: academic works from a geosystemic perspective on the region, official files from government agencies (IBGE, IDE-SISEMA) and data collected by the 2017 Municipal Tourism Inventory, with the aim of specializing the attractions natural resources in a complex context. As a result, the survey proved to be useful in understanding spaces for both planning and facilitating the methodology for evaluating research forms. Another relevant point addressed is the need for a methodological alignment in the application of the Municipal Inventory of Tourism.
