The external morphology of adult thorax and appendages of Almeidaia aidae Mielke & Casagrande, 1981 is described and illustrated for the first time. The results obtained were compared with other species of Saturniidae. This species is rare and endemic of the Cerrado region. Biological studies were published by the fourth author. This is the second of a series of papers about the morphology of the species.
