This analytical-descriptive study, run at a rural community in Pitanga da Estrada, Paraíba, aims at studying the principal medicinal plants used by community women and comparing this popular use to the one recommended by literature. Some disagreements in popular use, when compared to literature recommendation, especially regarding to therapeutic and indication use, have been observed.
