Open-access The strength of bonds. Public policy on gender equality

Public policies are an essential tool to place population needs and their attention on the same level of importance. This text is the product of a research project whose objective was to determine the actors and actions for the implementation of the gender equity approach through the respective public policy in the municipality of Copacabana-Antioquia, Colombia. The methodology was qualitative with a focus on Participatory Action Research (PAR). The phases were supported by the praxeological method, understood as the reflective capacity and double learning that is generated. Among the findings is the recognition of actors and actions under the need for articulation and strengthening of the network for citizen empowerment, in addition to the review of regulations to generate the necessary co-responsibilities in the implementation of public policy.
