Open-access Feminist Translation Studies and/in Queer~cu-ir

Abstract:

This article addresses the results of my PhD thesis, in which I carried out a critical bibliographical review, through queer~cu-ir studies, observing how the concept of gender manifested itself in much research in feminist translation studies, to suggest feminist translation studies and/in queer~cu-ir as another theoretical proposition. At the time, my register name was still Beatriz Regina Guimarães Barboza, although everyone knew me as be rgb, non-binary person. Today I call myself transmasculine, and I bring this location to the debate as transfeminist translator. As a method, I resort to the practice of an/dança, based on the queer ethics of the first person, to entangle theoretical flows of affinities and/or contingencies of crossings, in favor of their estrangement and propositional disturbance. Finally, I self-criticize my past research and suggest other questions.
