Las reflexiones en torno a los encuentros y desencuentros entre la militancia de izquierda y el feminismo son de larga data y se actualizan periódicamente sin evidenciar ánimos de desgaste. En esta ocasión, se pretende dar tratamiento a algunos de los ribetes que ha presentado dicha relación en los años setenta, en Argentina, en el Partido Socialista de los Trabajadores. Esta década es especialmente interesante para el análisis puesto que, por un lado, fue un período que experimentó la irrupción de las llamadas nueva(s) izquierda(s) que marcaron la agenda política de los países occidentales. Por el otro, se trató de una década que vio emerger la segunda ola del feminismo, también de escala planetaria, con sus diferentes versiones geopolíticas.

The agreements and disagreements amongst left militancy and feminism bring long-standing reflections that are periodically updated with no evidence of intended weakening. In this occasion, there's the will of treating some particular aspects given in this relationship during the Seventies, in Argentina in the Worker's Socialist Party. This decade is especially interesting to analyze since on one hand, it was a period in which the so-called new left(s) burst in, marking the political agenda of western countries and, on the other hand, it was a decade that witnessed the emergence of the second wave of feminism, also on a world wide base, with its different geopolitical versions.

Este artigo analisa a emergência de categorias específicas no feminismo - colonialismo, racismo e política heterossexual -, focando em aspectos que interpelaram e seguem interpelando o conceito de gênero. Interessa aqui identificar quais contribuições essas categorias apresentam para se pensarem os sujeitos dos feminismos e a ação política feminista. Para tanto, propõe uma breve retomada histórica da noção de gênero no feminismo e analisa o pensamento de três autoras - Gloria Anzaldúa, Monique Wittig e Ochy Curiel - que, ao incluírem em suas análises sobre as mulheres e a sociedade a perspectiva do colonialismo, do racismo e da política heterossexual, buscaram explicitar os limites do gênero, entre eles, seus efeitos normativos, apontando para a necessidade de politização do próprio feminismo.

This article examines the emergence of feminism in specific categories - colonialism, racism and straight political - focusing on aspects that challenge and question the following concept of gender. Interests us here identify contributions these categories have to think about the subjects of feminism and feminist political action. To this end, we propose a brief resume of the historical notion of gender in feminism and analyze the thought of three authors - Gloria Anzaldúa, Monique Wittig and Ochy Curiel - who to include in their analysis of women and society the perspective of colonialism, racism and straight political, sought to clarify the boundaries of the gender, among them, their normative purposes indicates the need for politicizing of feminism.

La sexualidad y la reproducción se han tornado en las últimas décadas campos de disputas entre sectores antagónicos, generando una dinámica regional de avances y regresiones en la agenda de derechos sexuales y reproductivos. Chile no ha sido la excepción, y muchas reformas en estas materias han sido frenadas por la oposición ejercida por los sectores más conservadores, mientras otras simplemente no han llegado siquiera a abrirse a discusión pública. La literatura suele destacar la existencia de dos grandes causas que pueden explicar los obstáculos para el reconocimiento de estos derechos en el país: la influencia que ha tenido la jerarquía católica en el delineamiento de políticas sexuales, y el debilitamiento de los movimientos feministas y de mujeres en el período post-dictatorial. El presente artículo analiza ciertos factores que buscan iluminar las causas de estos dos procesos. En el caso de la Iglesia Católica, se consideran dos factores que explicarían la influencia de esta institución en el delineamiento de las políticas sexuales de la post-dictadura: la autoridad moral conferida a la misma por su rol social y político desempeñado durante el siglo XX, y el rol otorgado por las elites a la iglesia en la búsqueda del consenso político durante los noventa. Para el caso del feminismo, se analizan en tanto los procesos de normalización del discurso, la devaluación de la militancia y la institucionalización del movimiento como factores explicativos de su debilitamiento en la capacidad para incidir en las políticas sexuales.

In the last decades, sexuality and reproduction have become areas of disputes between antagonistic actors, generating a regional dynamic of advances and retreats on the sexual and reproductive rights agenda. In Chile, many reforms in these areas have been stopped by conservative opposition, while others simply have not even become publicly discussed. Current literature highlights the existence of two major causes that can explain the obstacles to the recognition of these rights in the country: the influence of Catholic hierarchy in the shaping of sexual politics and the weakening of feminist and women movements in the post-dictatorial period. This article pretends to analyzes some factors that can clarify the causes of these two processes. In the case of the Catholic Church, I consider two factors that could explain the influence of this institution in the delineation of post-dictatorial sexual politics. First, the moral authority conferred to the church because of its social and political activity throughout the twentieth century, and second, the role given to it by the elites in the achievement of political consensus during the nineties. In the case of feminism, I analyze the process of normalization of its discourse, the devaluation of militancy and the institutionalization of the movement, as explanatory factors of the weakening of its ability to impact sexual politics.

Dois mil anos de processo civilizatório conferiram uma cisão no corpo feminino: as santas e as putas. Não parece novidade, no entanto, pensar que essa paridade responda mais a uma necessidade masculina do que às maneiras pelas quais as mulheres se apresentam. Partindo de bibliografia que discute imagens recalcadas de femininos "ativos" e eróticos no sagrado, este artigo busca refletir a respeito de possíveis ascendências dos cultos de pombagira, entidade espiritual umbandista. Distante do doce e passivo, a pombagira emana poder, inteligência, beleza e sexo, mas paradoxalmente se presentifica no espaço sagrado e é cultuada com destaque por seus fiéis. Nesse sentido, busca-se discutir como o culto dessas entidades espirituais parece performatizar algo de arcaico, possivelmente resistente ao recalque e à normatização.

Two thousand years of the civilization process have led to a split-up in the female body: saints and whores. It does not seem new, however, to think that this parity responds more to a male need than to the ways women present themselves. Dialoging with a bibliography that discusses suppressed images of "active", erotic and sacred females, this paper aims to reflect on the possible predominance of pombagira cults, an Umbanda spiritual entity. Distant from the sweet and passive, the pombagira emanates power, intelligence and sex, but paradoxically makes herself present in the sacred space and stands out in believers' worship. In this sense, attempts are made to discuss how the cult seems to perform something archaic, resistant to suppression and standardization.

Neste trabalho exponho algumas das conclusões acerca do "feminismo de Estado" em Portugal, tema pouco estudado no país e objeto central da minha investigação de doutoramento em Sociologia do Estado, Direito e Administração (FEUC/CES). Na pesquisa interroguei a ação do Estado português na promoção da igualdade de mulheres e homens desde 1970, concretamente o papel que a atualmente designada Comissão para a Cidadania e Igualdade de Género (CIG) como mecanismo oficial para a igualdade tem vindo a desempenhar em articulação com os movimentos de mulheres na promoção de políticas públicas de igualdade. Explicito, aqui, os principais desafios com que se confrontam a Comissão e as associações de mulheres, designadamente, o do mainstreaming de género, da politicização da área, da nova gestão pública, da adoção da linguagem de "género", da alteração da relação com as ONGs e da inclusão de novos representantes e novos eixos de desigualdade.

In this paper I present some conclusions about "state feminism" in Portugal, a theme understudied in the country and the central object of my PhD research in sociology from the State Law and Administration (FEUC / CES). In the study I questioned the action of the Portuguese state in the promotion of gender equality since 1970, specifically the role of the currently named as Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality - CIG, as a formal mechanism for equality, in articulation with women's movements, in promoting public policies for equality. I explain the main challenges facing the Commission and women's associations, namely, gender mainstreaming, the politicization of the area, the new public management, the adoption of the language of "gender", the change in the relationship with NGOs and the inclusion of new agents and new axes of inequality.

A efervescência feminista europeia dos anos 1970 influenciou a formação de diversos coletivos feministas formados por mulheres latino-americanas na Europa. Neste artigo pretende-se analisar um dos primeiros grupos desse tipo constituído na França, o Grupo Latino-Americano de Mulheres em Paris. Formado por mulheres de diferentes países da América Latina, uma parte delas exiladas, o grupo realizou suas primeiras reuniões a partir de 1972. Promoveu grupos de reflexão (ou autoconsciência), debates, projeções de filmes e, entre janeiro de 1974 e o segundo trimestre de 1976, publicou o boletim bilíngue (português e espanhol) Nosotras. Pretende-se analisar como foram tematizadas noções como identidade, patriarcado, classe, dentre outras, nas páginas dessa publicação.

The European feminist ebullience in the 70s influenced the formation of several feminist movements composed of Latin-american women living in Europe. In this manuscript, we intend to analize one of the first such groups in France, the Latin-american women's group in Paris. Composed of women from different Latin-american countries, part of them on exile, this group had its first meeting in 1972. It promoted consciousness-raising groups, debates, film projections, and, from January 1974 to the second trimestre of 1976, published the bilingual (Portuguese and Spanish) bulletin Nosotras. We intend to analize how notions like identity, patriarchy, class, among others were approached on this publication.

Neste ensaio exploramos as especificidades das viagens e traduções das teorias feministas a partir das mediações exercidas pelas revistas e periódicos científicos. Discutimos como um cânone feminista é construído por um mercado de citação transnacional e concluímos com alguns exemplos de como abrir espaços nas publicações para outros saberes feministas a partir de práticas contratradutórias.

In this essay we explore the specificities of the travels and translations of feminist theories, taking into consideration the mediations carried out by cultural magazines and scientific journals. We discuss how a feminist canon is constructed through transnational citation practices, and conclude with some examples of publications that are openning up spaces for the construction of new feminist knowledges through conter-translation practices.

O artigo resulta de pesquisa mais ampla sobre a produção acadêmica de gênero e feminista em revistas científicas deste campo, com metodologia peculiar. Trata dos eixos temáticos da Revista Estudos Feministas/REF de 1999-2012 por meio de levantamento de todos os artigos publicados neste período. Analisa a coerência de seu conteúdo com a política editorial proposta, bem como as tendências e características de suas publicações.

This paper originates from a larger research on gender and feminist academic outputs in Scientific Journals on this field, with a singular methodology. It studies the thematic priorities of the Revista Estudos Feministas from 1999 to 2012, through the survey of all papers published during this period. It analyses the consistency of its content with the proposed editorial policy, as well as the trends and characteristics of its publications.

A Revista Ártemis - Estudos de Gênero, Feminismo e Sexualidades esteve entre os periódicos que participaram do evento "REF 20 Anos: militância e academia nas publicações feministas", em novembro de 2012, na cidade de Florianópolis, SC, Brasil. A Ártemis foi apresentada na mesa redonda "Desafios das publicações no campo feminista", juntamente com as editoras dos periódicos Cadernos Pagu; Cadernos de Crítica Feminista, da ONG SOS Corpo; Revista Gênero (UFF) e ONG CFEMEA. Nossa apresentação pontuou a relação da revista acadêmica com os movimentos sociais, assim como as propostas editoriais, os objetivos futuros, as dificuldades enfrentadas e as estratégias de superação que nos permitem estar no oitavo ano da publicação.

Ártemis - a journal on Gender, Feminist and Sexuality Studies was invited to present its historical and political background in an event entitled "REF 20 Anos: militância e academia nas publicações feministas" (REF twenty years: militancy and academy in feminist publication). The event took place in November 2012, in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The presentation on the Journal's history was included in the round table "Desafios das publicações no campo feminista", that is, "Challenges in the field of feminist publication", together with editors from Cadernos Pagu, Cadernos de Crítica Feminista da ONG SOS Corpo, Revista Gênero (UFF) e ONG CFEMEA. Our presentation brought to light the existing relation between academic journals and social movements, as well as discussions on the editorial profile of our journal, our future objectives, difficulty faced as well as strategies of survival along the eight years of Artemis' existence.

O texto analisa a importância da linguagem na tradução do conhecimento produzido na área dos estudos feministas e relações de gênero tendo em vista a assimilação desses conteúdos por parte de públicos distintos nos processos de formação, em especial, aqueles setores que não dominam a linguagem acadêmica. Nessa perspectiva, busca-se analisar duas vertentes da linha editorial do Núcleo de Estudos Interdisciplinares sobre a Mulher - NEIM/UFBa: de um lado, a Coleção Bahianas, editada nos cânones da "liturgia acadêmica" e, do outro, o chamado "material educativo", sustentáculo da atividade de extensão em que o eixo norteador é o "se fazer entender".

This paper analyses the importance of language in the translation of knowledge produced in the field of feminist studies and gender relations, considering the assimilation of the contents of this production by distinct audiences in the process of gender training, particularly by those who are not familiar with academic parlance. In this perspective, we seek to analyze two distinct strands in the editorial line sustained by the Nucleus of Interdisciplinary Women's Studies - NEIM/UFBA: on the one hand, Coleção Bahianas, edited according to the canons of "academic liturgy", and, on the other, the so-called "educative materials", which sustain extension activities that have "making oneself understood" as their guiding principle.

Por ocasião dos 20 anos da Revista Estudos Feministas, busco articular o debate sobre teoria e movimento social para apresentar alguns desafios que estão postos para as publicações feministas. Trato dos desafios ligados ao reconhecimento, à sustentabilidade, às linhas editoriais e à relação universidade e movimento. Concluo afirmando que o principal desafio das publicações feministas é articular a produção teórica e as pesquisas feministas às lutas e às formas organizativas que o movimento feminista constrói em cada contexto histórico.

The occasion from twenty years after the Revista Estudos Feministas I seek articulate the debate about social movement theory and to present some of the challenges are put for feminist publications. Dealing of the challenges related to the recognition and sustainability, for publishing lines and on the relationship between university and movement. I conclude by stating that the main challenge is how to articulate feminist publications of the theoretical production and the feminist research with fights and the forms of organization that the feminist movement builds for each historic context.

Este ensaio recupera parte do debate desenvolvido no evento de comemoração dos 20 anos da Revista Estudos Feministas, sobre os desafios das publicações feministas. Considero que alguns desafios foram em parte bem-sucedidos, como a incorporação das teorias de gênero e feminista à teoria social. Por outro lado, ainda persitem obstáculos, como a dificuldade dos periódicos em serem admitidos em alguns sistemas de indexação complexos, o que os tornaria academicamente mais respeitáveis. No entanto, isto não é específico de publicações feministas. Como conclusão, destaco dois de nossos grandes desafios: a internacionalização da produção acadêmica brasileira e a horizontalização das teorias feministas e de gênero, a fim de expandir as fronteiras nacionais e disciplinares.

This paper retrieves part of the debate developed in the 20th years of the Revista Estudos Feministas Seminar. Some challenges were successful in part, as the visibility of gender and feminist theories in relation to social theory. By other hand, some obstacles still exist, such as the difficult to be admitted into some complex indexing systems, which would make the journals become more respectful. However, this is not specific of feminist publications. As conclusion, I will highlight two of our major challenges: the internationalization of Brazilian academic production and the horizontality of feminist and gender theories, in order to expand the national and disciplinary boundaries.
