ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to accomplish a systematic review of the original articles wich focus the process of recognition and development of sporting talent. In the methodological process, searches have been done in databases indexing articles, using the predetermined keywords arrangement. The analysis of the 42 articles that fulfilled the study selection criteria, have revealed the present use of the thematic, mostly at the international scene. The researches have been developed by quantitative and qualitative designs, with prevalence of the retrospectives outlines. Moreover, the selected scientific production has evidenced a main concern of the researchers in discovering the factors and stages of the sporting career development related to the talented identification factors, evidencing a tendency on the scientific outlook in prioritizing the investigation around the training factors and the social influences that contributes to the sporting formation process.
