"NOT A SINGLE SOUL ESCAPES TAKING TO ARMS": THE INDIGENOUS POPULATIONS IN THE FARRAPOS WAR (1835-1845)

This article aims to rethink the history of the Farrapos War contemplating the indigenous presence and participation in that conflict. Amerindian populations, contrary to previous thought, participated in imperial conflicts, but continue to be left out of the history of this war that took place on the frontier of the Brazilian Empire.
