WORK AND WORKERS IN VARGAS' SECOND GOVERNMENT: STRIKES AS AN "ANTIRIGHT" (1951-1954)

This article identifies the meanings given by supporters of laborism to work strikes during Getúlio Vargas' second government. Drawing on sources still under-investigated by the historiography, this study aims at characterizing aspects and institutional referents of the laborist politics - updated in the 1950s - which underpinned the conceptions of strikes as an "antiright".
