ABSTRACT
This article presents the publication A guide book of modernist botany, which investigates 19 of the plant species represented by São Paulo’s modernist artists. The book includes -- in addition to reproductions of artistic and literary works -- historical documents belonging to various archives, the IEB collection among them. We will discuss these archives’ contributions, notably the Mário de Andrade Fund, home to a curious postcard Mario received from Oswald de Andrade as well as three little-known photographs taken by Mário during his 1927 trip to the Amazon.
