Signs of historicity revealed in fragments of memory

ABSTRACT

This article proposes the reflective presentation of narratives by three interlocutors who make it possible to uncover fragments of social relations established in the family and community environment in Itapina, Colatina district, Espírito Santo. The place, established at the end of the 19th century, became one of the most important commercial coffee poles of the state in the first quarter of the 20th century, with the establishment and strengthening of an economic, social and cultural elite in the Northwest context and lost its in the 1960s with the eradication of coffee. From then, on the great majority of the inhabitants migrated to the headquarters of the municipality or to other regions of the country. It is anchored in the theoretical-methodological perspectives of Memory and Oral History.
