ABSTRACT
This essay approaches Bolsonarism as a socio-technical phenomenon, characterized by circular performative mobilization of latent demands guided by realtime metrics. From this perspective, agency and decision-making do not belong to specific actors, but are emergent properties of the global socio-technical system. I suggest that the multiple segments that resonate together to form Bolsonarism share a common cybernetic dynamic, characterized by antistructural incisions in the Brazilian public sphere.
