RESUMO Em 1960, a Livraria Francisco Alves Editora lançou dois livros que se tornariam fundamentais para a literatura brasileira a partir de um cenário pós-modernista: Laços de família, de Clarice Lispector, e Quarto de despejo, de Carolina Maria de Jesus. O objetivo deste artigo é abordar as duas obras, a despeito das diferenças de gênero literário, de estilo e das problemáticas que instauram, como manifestações de um mesmo tempo, escritas por mulheres e expressivas de uma tópica da falta, que se representa como vazio ou como fome. Considerar as obras em seu contexto de criação e publicação visa ainda a compreender aspectos da representação do autor numa época de valorização do escritor e da literatura.

ABSTRACT In 1960, Francisco Alves Publishing House launched two books that would become essential for Brazilian literature since a postmodernist scenery: Laços de família, by Clarice Lispector, and Quarto de despejo, by Carolina Maria de Jesus. The aim of this article is to approach the two works, despite the differences of literary genre, style and of the issues they raise, as manifestations of a common time, written by women and expressive of a topic concerning lack, which is represented as void or hunger. Considering the books in their context of creation and publication also aims at understanding aspects of the representation of the author in a time when writer and literature were highly appreciated.

RESUMO Um dos aspectos mais interessantes da obra musical de Adoniran Barbosa é a forma como ele estiliza a fala popular. Como se sabe, no Brasil, onde persistem há séculos enormes desigualdades sociais e as classes mais escolarizadas e privilegiadas economicamente demonstram aversão aos pobres, as variantes linguísticas associadas às classes populares têm sido estigmatizadas como “erradas”, “inexpressivas”, “feias”. Em seus sambas, Adoniran mostra o quanto a fala popular - além de ser adequada às situações vivenciadas pelos personagens que protagonizam as histórias tragicômicas de suas canções - é bela, poética, corretíssima. Ao expor a cultura e a linguagem dos estratos da sociedade mantidos na invisibilidade, o compositor exerce, ainda que de maneira involuntária, uma resistência às forças mais retrógradas do país.

ABSTRACT One of the most interesting aspects of Adoniran Barbosa musical work is his stylization of Brazilian popular language. It is well-known that, in Brazil, where immense social inequalities have persisted for centuries and the more privileged extracts of society have shown an explicit aversion to the poor people, linguistic variants associated to the lower classes have been stigmatized as “wrong”, “inexpressive”, “nasty”. In his songs, Barbosa clearly shows how popular language - in addition to being appropriate to the situations experienced by the characters who play the role of tragicomic stories in his songs - is beautiful, poetic, and very correct. When the artist exposes culture and language of these lower strata of society, which are maintained invisible, he exerts resistance to Brazil’s most retrograde forces, even if this is involuntary.

RESUMO Este artigo é fundamentado em pesquisa realizada sobre o currículo da educação escolar do estado de Mato Grosso do Sul (MS) e tem como objetivo analisar como os conteúdos relacionados às culturas e histórias dos povos indígenas, instituídos pela Lei n. 11.645/08, são apresentados no Referencial Curricular para o Ensino Médio (RCEM) na área de ciências humanas. Com a implantação da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (LDB) e a criação da Lei n. 11.645, de 2008, novos desafios surgiram aos profissionais da educação básica. O não cumprimento dessas leis pode prejudicar a construção de uma postura crítica dos professores e estudantes sobre os conhecimentos que tratam dos povos indígenas que lutam pela sobrevivência de suas histórias, culturas e direitos diante do histórico contato interétnico de preconceito e de violência por parte dos não indígenas.

ABSTRACT This paper work is based on a research carried out about the school education curriculum from Mato Grosso do Sul State and it has as aim to analyze how the contents related to cultures and histories of indigenous peoples, instituted by Law no 11.645/2008, are presented inside the Curriculum Referential for the High School in the human sciences area. With the implementation of the Law of Directives and Basis for National Education and the creation of the Law no 11.645/2008 new challenges have emerged for basic education professionals. The failure to comply with these laws may hinder the construction of a critical attitude of teachers and students about the knowledge that they deal with indigenous people who struggle for the survival of their histories, cultures and rights beyond the historical interethnic contact of prejudice and violence by the non-indigenous people.

RESUMO O presente artigo tem por objetivo discutir sobre como os debates de gênero e sexualidade durante a educação básica podem interferir no acesso de transexuais e travestis à educação superior, com base nos dados obtidos por meio de pesquisas realizadas por iniciativas de projetos, produções acadêmicas, organizações não governamentais (ONGs), redes de apoio ou de associações, como também por notícias em mídias sociais, além das ações governamentais que têm o intuito de promover equidade e respeito às identidades de gênero na escola. De acordo com o estudo proposto, embora as questões de gênero e sexualidade tenham obtido relevância em políticas e legislações que se vinculam tanto ao campo da educação como a outros campos, estudantes transexuais e travestis ainda têm dificuldade para concluir o período de escolaridade obrigatória. Por conseguinte, propor reflexões e trabalhar conceitos nas escolas de educação básica não é o suficiente, é preciso investir na formação inicial e continuada de todo o corpo docente.

ABSTRACT This article aims to discuss how gender and sexuality debates during basic education can interfere in the access of transsexuals and transvestites to higher education, based on data obtained through research carried out by project initiatives, academic productions, organizations non-governmental organizations (NGOs), support networks or associations, as well as news on social media, in addition to governmental actions aimed at promoting equity and respect for gender identities at school. According to the proposed study, although gender and sexuality issues have gained relevance in policies and legislation that are linked both to the field of education and to other fields, transsexual and transvestite students still have difficulty completing the period of compulsory schooling. Therefore, proposing reflections and working on concepts in basic education schools is not enough, it is necessary to invest in the initial and continuing training of the entire teaching staff.

RESUMO O presente artigo intenta “dizer” a cultura cabocla da região Oeste de Santa Catarina (Brasil) com o objetivo de identificar e caracterizar elementos dessa etnia que mobilizam o (re)conhecimento do “ser caboclo”. Caracteriza-se como um estudo qualitativo baseado em uma análise documental feita a partir do portfólio de entrevistas realizadas pelo Centro de Memória do Oeste de Santa Catarina (CEOM) em 2006, que inventariou e salvaguardou aspectos da cultura imaterial cabocla dessa região. Considerando que o contexto histórico tem marginalizado essa etnia que vê suas formas de vida serem esquecidas com o tempo, buscamos oportunizar o (re)conhecimento e valorização da cultura cabocla do Oeste de Santa Catarina.

ABSTRACT The present article intends to “tell” the caboclo culture of the western region of Santa Catarina, Brazil, aiming to identify and characterize elements of this ethnicity that mobilize the reconnaissance of the “being caboclo”. It is characterized as a qualitative study based on a documentary analysis made from the portfolio of interviews conducted by the Western Memory Center of Santa Catarina (CEOM) in 2006, which inventoried and safeguarded aspects of the caboclo immaterial culture of this region. Considering that the historical context has marginalized this ethnicity that sees its life forms being forgotten over time, we seek to provide the reconnaissance and appreciation of the caboclo culture of western Santa Catarina.

RESUMO Com base na complexa e multidimensional definição de democracia racial estabelecida por Antonio Sérgio Alfredo Guimarães (mito, ideal e pacto), examinamos como Casa-grande & senzala participa da construção do pacto racial-democrático ensaiado no final dos anos 1930 no Brasil. Para isso analisamos como Gilberto Freyre estabelece discurso performativo sobre a democracia racial, em que supostamente se constatariam as interações não racistas dos brasileiros, ao mesmo tempo que também articula um discurso da democracia racial como pedagogia, em que ele desmente os estigmas raciais relacionados à presença do negro no Brasil, e busca celebrar as contribuições materiais e imateriais dos negros à cultura brasileira. Pretendemos mostrar como as ações linguísticas geradas no texto formam um campo de força discursivo essencial para a elaboração da democracia racial como pacto.

ABSTRACT Drawing on the complex and multidimensional definition of racial democracy established by Antonio Sérgio Alfredo Guimarães (myth, ideal and pact), we examine how “Casa-grande & senzala” takes part on the building of a racial-democratic consensus rehearsed in the 1930s in Brazil. In order to accomplish this goal, we analyze how Freyre puts forward a performative discourse on racial democracy, in which he supposedly verifies the non-racists interactions of Brazilians and, at the same time, brings forth a discourse on racial democracy as pedagogy, in which he dismantles racial stigmas associated with the African presence in Brazil, and celebrates the great contributions of African people to Brazilian culture. We intend to show how these linguistic actions generated in the text create a discursive force field that is paramount to the pact of racial democracy.

RESUMO Reconhecer outras figurações a povos e mundo diante do Antropoceno parece ser tarefa incontornável. Se não soubermos nomeá-los devidamente, não saberemos divisar aliados e contrários no enfrentamento de um mundo crescentemente devastado. Novas práticas devem se acompanhar de novas concepções - ambas se instruindo mutuamente. Qual mundo corresponde ao Brasil? Quais mundos podem corresponder aos brasis? É preciso revisar o futuro para dar passagem a outras bifurcações históricas. Para novos povoamentos, novas imaginações - e vice-versa.

ABSTRACT The advent of Anthropocene requires us to recognize different figurations of peoples and of the world in order to name them properly and be able to discern allies and adversaries in the incoming struggle that faces an increasingly devastated world. New practices should be accompanied by new concepts in a kind of mutual instructing relation. Hence the questions: Which world corresponds to Brazil? Which worlds can correspond to “the brasis”? In order to find different paths, we have to review the future to conceive new settlements, new imaginations, and vice-versa.

RESUMO O artigo tem o objetivo de discutir a obra de Anna Maria Maiolino sob a perspectiva de seu processo de criação. Será apresentado o contexto acadêmico no qual a pesquisa está inserida, que propõe a crítica de processos de criação como uma abordagem para a arte. Pesquisas que lidam com os registros deixados pelos artistas ao longo de seus percursos artísticos. Destaca-se a relevância de se propor uma teoria crítica de processo diante de experimentações e interrogações artísticas contemporâneas que envolvem a exploração de arquivos e diferentes relações entre obra e processo. A obra dessa artista oferece um interessante espaço para tais reflexões. A partir de alguns aspectos gerais do processo, será dada especial ênfase aos seguintes aspectos: publicação de documentos de processos, obras processuais, processos se transformando em obras e textura intersemiótica.

ABSTRACT The article aims to discuss Anna Maria Maiolino’s work from the perspective of her process of creation. It will present the academic context in which the research is inserted: a group of studies that proposes the critique of creative processes as a possible approach to art. A line of research that deals with the records, left by artists, along their artistic paths. We highlight the relevance of proposing a critical theory of process in the face of contemporary artistic experimentation and interrogation involving the exploration of archives and the different relations between work and process. This artist’s work offers an interesting space for such reflections. From some general aspects of the process, special emphasis will be given to the following aspects: publication of process documents, procedural works, processes becoming works and intersemiotic texture.

RESUMO Desenvolvida por Raymond Williams, a hipótese cultural das estruturas de sentimento vem sendo, no Brasil, bastante referenciada em pesquisas sobre manifestações artísticas diversas, em particular - o que nos interessa especificamente - em pesquisas de caráter histórico ou sociológico sobre a música popular gravada. A partir de impressões colhidas em nosso percurso acadêmico, notamos, entretanto, certa desarticulação da noção em pauta em relação ao materialismo cultural concebido e defendido pelo autor. De início, retomamos algumas questões fundamentais que nortearam o debate crítico de Williams com os estudos culturais de tradição marxista em sua época, para, em seguida, discutir o potencial teórico-metodológico de suas reflexões para a pesquisa em música popular.

ABSTRACT Developed by Raymond Williams, the cultural hypothesis of structures of feeling has been increasingly referenced by Brazilian researchers, in particular - what matters to this paper - by historians and sociologists of recorded popular music. From impressions collected in our academic trajectory, we notice, however, certain disconnect between this notion and the cultural materialism conceived and defended by the author. At first, we elucidate fundamental questions that guided Williams’ critical debate with the cultural studies of the Marxist tradition in his time, and then, we discuss the theoretical and methodological potential of his reflections for research in popular music.

RESUMO Pouco conhecidas são a infância e a adolescência do diretor e escritor Mário Peixoto (1908-1992) nos anos 1910 e 1920. Por isso a apresentação comentada de partes do seu diário inédito Cadernos verdes referentes a esses momentos de sua vida tem o importante papel de revelar sua formação para outros pesquisadores. São duas partes. Uma se refere à infância em sua casa no Rio de Janeiro. É uma experiência solitária dentro de uma família tradicional e decadente de pessoas silenciosas. A segunda parte, constituída sobretudo por cartas de sua prima Genoca, é um mundo aberto entre o Rio de Janeiro e Petrópolis de passeios, festas e fofocas sobre parentes e amigos.

ABSTRACT The childhood and teenage years of the film director and writer Mário Peixoto (1908-1992) are little known. Because of that, the commented presentation of some parts of his unpublished journal “Cadernos verdes” concerning these moments of his life has the important role of revealing his coming of age for other researchers. There are two parts. One is concerned with his childhood basically connected with his house at Rio de Janeiro. It is a lonely experience inside a traditional and decadent family made up of silent people. The second part, consisting mainly by the letters of his cousin Genoca, is an opened world between Rio de Janeiro and Petrópolis full of visits, parties and gossips about relatives and friends.

RESUMO A obra resenhada é uma coletânea de textos com pesquisas iniciais para a construção de uma perspectiva epistemológica feminista. Foram compilados 19 artigos seminais, escritos por 20 pesquisadoras que atuaram ou atuam em diferentes universidades brasileiras e instituições afins. A obra visa contribuir para a elaboração de uma produção teórica feminista brasileira a partir de temáticas centrais que estão relacionadas com as questões de raça, gênero, classe e nacionalidade. Portanto, esta resenha apresenta o pensamento feminista brasileiro a partir do seu desenvolvimento social, histórico, político e cultural embasado pelas pesquisas reunidas nessa obra e que visam à expansão, à resistência e à continuidade dos estudos feministas brasileiros.

ABSTRACT The reviewed work is a collection of texts with initial research for the construction of a feminist epistemological perspective. 19 seminal articles were compiled, written by 20 researchers who worked or work in different Brazilian universities and similar institutions. The work aims to contribute to the elaboration of a Brazilian feminist theoretical production, based on central themes that are related to issues of race, gender, class and nationality. Therefore, this review presents the Brazilian feminist thought from its social, historical, political and cultural development based on the researches gathered in this work and which aim at the expansion, resistance and continuity of Brazilian feminist studies.

RESUMO Pensamento feminista brasileiro: formação e contexto foi organizado por Heloisa Buarque de Hollanda no intuito de oferecer referências e repertórios para a atual geração de pesquisadoras, pesquisadores e ativistas que se identificam com a pesquisa e a luta feminista. Soma-se a uma série de outros livros, de sua autoria, nos quais os debates nacionais e internacionais - históricos e emergentes - são mapeados, pondo em relação os diálogos e os esforços por legitimação dos estudos sobre as mulheres e sua dimensão epistemológica. Neste texto apresentaremos alguns aspectos do livro, acentuando como as escolhas da autora são justificadas e entrecortadas pelo ambiente de (auto)formação que caracteriza o seu encontro e agência frente ao desenvolvimento e difusão desse pensamento.

ABSTRACT “Brazilian feminist thought: constitution and context” was organized by Heloisa Buarque de Hollanda, with the intention of offering references and repertoires for the current generation of researchers and activists identified with feminist research and struggle. Adding up to a series of other books, that she wrote, in which national and international debates - historical and emergent - are mapped out, bringing together the dialogues and efforts to legitimize studies on women and their epistemological dimension. In this text we will present some aspects of the book, emphasizing how the author’s choices are justified and interrupted by the (self) formation environment that characterizes her encounter and action in the face of the development and diffusion of the feminist thought.

RESUMO Este artigo aborda o conjunto de diários pertencentes a Maria Isabel Silveira, casada com o escritor e político Valdomiro Silveira, cujo acervo pessoal foi doado ao IEB/USP em 2006. Em meio aos documentos, atualmente sob a guarda da instituição, destaca-se o conjunto de 62 cadernos que pertenceram a Maria Isabel, entre os quais os volumes que acolheram a sua escrita diarística como registro do cotidiano de sua família, especialmente de seus filhos e, posteriormente, de seu dia a dia. O presente estudo versa sobre materialidade documental, escrita feminina e memória das mulheres, tendo como corpus os diários de Maria Isabel, uma mulher que, com rigor e disciplina, escreveu sobre si e, consequentemente, sobre sua época.

ABSTRACT This article presents the investigation made from the set of diaries belonging to Maria Isabel Silveira, wife of the writer Valdomiro Silveira, whose personal collection was donated to the IEB/USP in 2006. Amid the documents, currently under the custody of the IEB Archive, stands out 62 notebooks by Maria Isabel that adopts diary writing as a record of her family’s daily life, especially her children, and later, of her daily life. The present study deals with documentary materiality, feminine writing and women’s memory, having as corpus the diaries of Maria Isabel, a woman who with rigor and discipline, wrote about herself, and, consequently, about her time.
