Abstract
This article analyzes the constitutional regime established in Venezuela for the popular indirect election of the Head of the Judicial, Electoral and Citizens Branches of Government, through the National Assembly acting as electoral body by means of the vote of a qualified majority of 2/3 of the representatives, and its violation by the National Assembly and the Supreme Tribunal of Justice in December 2017, giving a coup d’Etat.
