Abstract
The election of President Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil in 2018 brings to the political scene the update of discourse with protofascist elements. This article intends to contribute to the analysis of this discourse and the conditions around its materiality from the presidential inauguration, in January 2019. The study also observes the discourse’s impacts on women and the possibility of losing rights - especially sexual and reproductive rights - amidst the context of legislative reforms and growth of representatives of religious groups in Brazil’s Congress.
