The subject of this paper emphasizes the uses of Epidemiology to nurses like an essential tool to afford health service assistance and his application in practice. Equally it evidences that epidemiology offers important support to the planning, administration, execution and evaluation of the health service and in addition an extremely useful and essential investigation instrument to his professional formation.
