The paper presents the therapeutic accompaniment as a clinic modality in the treatment of psychosis created after the psychiatry reform. So far, it has been very successful in the new field of “off hospital psychiatric”. As a historical study of this clinic paradigm this paper intends to discuss the functions of the therapeutic accompaniment, its particularity in the network on psychosis and its role in the social insertion of the psychotic.
