Abstract
The family Cannabaceae is represented in the canga of Serra dos Carajás by one species, Trema micrantha. The species is common in the forests of the region and was recorded in canga and in transitional areas with associated forest patches. This study brings morphological description, illustration, geographical distribution and taxonomic comments for the species treated.
