Abstract
This taxonomic study includes the species of Caryophyllaceae growing on iron-ore substrate (canga) at the Serra dos Carajás, Pará, Brazil. Only one species was recorded: Drymaria cordata. The work provides detailed description, morphological comments, geographic distribution, and illustrations of diagnostic characters of this species.
