Abstract
This work presents a taxonomic treatment of Orthotrichaceae registered in the areas of cangas of Serra dos Carajás, Pará state, with detailed description, illustration and morphologic comment if the species. Two species were registered in the study area: Groutiella tomentosa and Schlotheimia rugifolia.
