Abstract
As a result of an investigation and detailed taxonomic studies of the genus Kielmeyera Martius, eight new species namely, K. insignis, K. rizziniana (both from the State of Rio de Janeiro), K. decipiens (from the State of São Paulo), K. albopunctata, K. divergens, K. occhioniana, K. rufotomentosa and K. sigillata (all from the State of Espi'rito Santo), are here described and illustrated. Their distributional geographical and ecological features, as well as their taxonomic relationships are also discussed.
