Abstract
We found 45 species of the Cyperaceae, belonging to 12 genera: Rhynchospora (12 species), Cyperus (9), Eleocharis (7), Scleria (4), Bulbostylis (4), Fimbristylis (2), Kyllinga (2), Becquerelia (1), Hypolytrum (1), Lagenocarpus (1), Lipocarpha (1) and Pycreus (1). Eleocharis ayacuchensis is being recorded for the first time in Brazil. Bulbostylis lagoensis and Eleocharis endounifascis are new records to Pará state. Identification keys are provided at genera and species levels, as well as morphological descriptions, illustrations of species, and taxonomic comments, geographical distribution and preferred habitats of the studied taxa.
