ABSTRACT
This paper deals with comparative wood anatomy of the species Rinorea bahiensis (Moric.) Ktze., R. castaneaefolia (Spreng.) Ktze,, R. falcata (Mart.) Ktze., R. flavescens (Spreng.) Ktze., R. guianenses (Eichl.) Ktze., R. lindeniana (Tul.) Ktze., and R. racemose (Mart. & Zucc.) Ktze. (Violaceae), the general properties and its principal uses, as well as, the ocorrence of the species in Brazil.
