Abstract
A new species of Microlicia from Serra do Cabral, Minas Gerais state, Brazil, is described and illustrated and a conservation assessment based on IUCN criteria is given. Microlicia ciliatoglandulosa R.Romero has sessile, elliptic or elliptic-lanceolate leaves with attenuate base and crenulate, glandular-ciliate margin, a glabrous hypanthium, the calyx with long stalked glands, and larger stamens with a short ventral appendage connective.
