The subtribe Goodyerinae (Orchidaceae: Orchidoideae) in the Paraná state, Brazil

Abstract

The subtribe Goodyerinae comprises 32 genera and 744 species, occurring in both New and Old World. It is represented in the New World by three native genera, two of which occur in Brazil: Aspidogyne and Microchilus. In Paraná State, the reports indicated the occurence of these two genera, with a total of 16 native species. Was also recorded the occurrence of Zeuxine strateumatica, exotic invasive species of Asiatic origin. Three species are considered critically endangered (CR), seven are endangered (EN), three are vulnerable (VU) and three are not considered at risk of extinction (LC). Aspidogyne schlechteriana is synonymized under A. bidentifera and A. serripetala is restabliched with autonomous taxon. An artificial key to the species is presented, as well as morphological descriptions, comments, conservation status, and illustrations of the taxa studied.
