Abstract: The article will analyze the relationship between African and political religions within the Conurbano Bonaerense using the notion of "new activist culture" (Pleyers, 2018). Afro-religious organizations are currently emerging that adopt a new logic of action that defends horizontal relations and collective planning of activities, unlike the traditional modes of collective action of social movements, vertical and hierarchical. The actions take a strong territorial anchor and the social-digital networks acquire a central relevance. I will work from the case of Congregaciones Afroumbandistas Solidarias Asociadas, a political-religious group of Esteban Echeverría; and the case of Arte, Pasión y Sabiduría, a group of self-called drummers who organize religious ceremonies for solidarity purposes in San Miguel.
