Abstract: In this paper we critically analyze the field of the New Age and the new spiritualities, as a privileged space of neo-liberal subjectivation and remodeling of community ties. We expose the notorious influence that various tendencies have on the constitution of individuals who, far from configuring innocuous and politically inconsequential subjectivities, sculpts subjects in a constant drunkenness of themselves, compulsive consumers of products and spiritual experiences or entrepreneurs-managers of their assets and spiritual capitals. We highlight the effects of psychologization and depoliticization that these trends promote, as well as the reconfiguration of the community at the service of a project focused on self-aggrandizement.
