Avaliaçao do efeito do extrato de casca de cajueiro-branco (Anacardium occidentale L.) Sobre A infecção por Leishmania (Viannia) brasiliensis

This paper presents an evaluation of the therapeutic effect of an hydroalcoholic extract of A. occidentale L. bark against Leishmania (Viannia) brasiliensis. The extract showed high activity in the in vitro model against the promastigotes ofthis species. However in the in vivo model no curative activity was observed.
