Cross-section studies on prevalence and morbidity of schistosomiasis are presented for the State of Alagoas, as part of a long term. project which is being carried out in Northeartern Brasil. The survey was made in 8 localities, including rural and urban areas. Prevalence of schistosomiasis and other helminthic infections were very high.
