The authors report a case of 24 year old man with hepatosplertic schistosomiasis and pulmonary hypertension (mean pulmonary artery arterial pressure 2 7.5mm of mercury). Eleven years after treatment with oxamniquine he had the hepatoinstestinal form of the disease with persistence of the pulmonary hypertension (20mm) as diagnosed by cardiac catheterisation and echocardiography.
