An unusual case of chronic Chagas' disease is presented in which very intense parasitism was observed in the esophagus and in the myocardium. Hodgkin's disease and treatment with immunosupressants were associated findings. Emphasis is put on the rarity of the esophagic localization of leishmanial pseudocyst in the chronic Chagas' disease of the adult, on the dimensions of the pseudocyst, and on the characteristics of the amastigote forms.
