This work focuses the problem of social stratification. It shows the implications of social classes in the Public Health, based on the results of several studies which indicate that there is a relationship between the individual behavior and his social classification. Several indicators are presented for the identification of class position and it is suggested an unification of criteria. It evidences the necessity of social class consideration in health programs.
